Spring Cleaning at the Shop! — Emerging Writers Festival

What does Spring Cleaning look like at a bookstore? For us, it looks like controlled chaos at its finest. It’s been a full year since we have moved into our forever home on Royal Street and it might be time to unpack that last box.

Who are we kidding? We are never going to be ready to unpack that last box.

We do have some exciting things coming down the pipeline. We are moving into our new upstairs office space more officially. New flooring (the better to roll book carts around) and a wall removed means lots of space to stretch out and receive and store new books.

We have also moved some things around on the shop floor - stop by and see if you notice a difference in our kids section. You will find more than twice the shelf space dedicated to middle grade, early readers, kids graphic novels and more! Melissa aka TheBookMommy, is so excited!

We spruced up our sales floor too! Our history section has been more dialed in for all of your historical wants. We have a staff picks section with a jumble of genres and sad girl feelings. Even our romance section has been expanded, much to everyone’s delight!
