Winter 2022 Events Round Up
Winter 2022 Events Round Up
January is one of those months that we take to refocus and take a deep breath after the craziness of the holiday season.
We might have really needed that deep breath because how is it already March?
Did anyone else blink and miss February?
We do have some really exciting things going on for March including the return of some in-person events!
Kicking off the month we have a virtual event with Andrea Pitzer the author of Icebound: Shipwrecked at the Edge of the World on Wednesday, Mar 2, 2022 at 7pm. This virtual event will be in conversation with Buddy Levy, author of Labyrinth of Ice. Andrea will discuss everything from the effects of climate change that she witnessed in the Arctic to how she finds solace in tales of survival. RSVP for this exciting event here.
On Wednesday, March 9th at 7pm, Sarah Pekkanen will be at Old Town Books and will be discussing her upcoming book, The Golden Couple, her writing process and more! Sarah is one half of the best-selling author duo who brought us The Wife Between Us, An Anonymous Girl, and You are Not Alone.
This is our first event at the store in a long time and tickets will be limited. Please RSVP here for your spot!
For those of us who are ready to get our brunch on, Cathay Barrow will be celebrating the release of her upcoming cookbook, Bagels, Schmears, and a Nice Piece of Fish with us at Lost Boy Cider. Your ticket will include not only one pre-ordered cookbook, but one drink ticket, bagel samples and more. Plus Cathy will be in conversation with Bonnie Benwick, former food editor at the Washington Post. They will be sharing all of their wisdom, answering your kitchen questions and awarding the Golden Bagel to one lucky cook. That just sounds like a hole lot of fun!
On Wednesday, Mar 23, 2022 Coco Mellors will be discussing her debut novel Cleopatra and Frankenstein, an addictive humorous and poignant novel about the shock waves caused by one couple’s impulsive marriage. This is another in-person store event hosted at Old Town Books. Tickets are limited, please RSVP here!
All of our book clubs will continue to be held virtually in March. We have some amazing books selected.
